Have you guys ever tried the "Next Blog" link that Blogger puts on the top of each blog? Its supposed to take you to a random blog in the Blogger network. Just an observation: Its surprising how much of the blogs online are not in English!
But coming to my point.. its also surprising that most of the English ones are full of useless stuff. I mean, I know my blog isn't exactly great, but I try to post meaningful stuff as and when I can. I came across blogs where there are no posts from the past couple of months... and the old posts are also pretty much..... nothing.
Think of it.. Statically speaking, for every real blog which is updated more or less regularly, there must be 15 blogs which are junk! Okay.. maybe that estimate is little high. And again, how do you classify a blog as junk? Is it junk if a person just posts one post a month about what he did that day?
This is what happens when publishing something online becomes so easy. Everyone wants to do it... but not everyone has the patience or time(or interest) to continue doing it on a regular basis. Its the same problem with websites.. although its much more smaller, because its not as easy to get a website up and running as blogging. But there is a lot of unwanted junk on the Internet. I guess its one of the disadvantages of having a common platform where everyone can contribute and make pages. More than half of the stuff ends up being junk.
